One night, I wandered through a dream, A house in need, a vow unseen. I hung bright crystal in each room, To cast out shadows, break the gloom.
As each chandelier took its place, the house became a constellation. But then, soft wings, a sudden flight, A green finch circled in the light.
I woke, my heart still caught between, The mystery of that vivid scene. Why had a bird with feathers bright Appeared within my dream that night?
Days passed until, on errands bound, I saw a small shape on the ground,
A green finch, hurt, beside the pane, I held it close to soothe its pain.
Back home I brought it, soft and still, To tend its wounds, to watch, to heal. With care, its strength began to grow, And soon it spread its wings to show.
Then came the moment; swift, surreal, It fluttered up as if to feel Its way toward the shining light, Perched on the chandelier, in flight.
A vision crossed my waking eyes: Had I foreseen this feathered rise? The dream replayed in crystal air, Was it fate, or just a flare?
Now, to gently bring it down, From glass and light that sparkled round. A mystery perched in chandelier’s hold, A secret wrapped in green and gold.
What dreams foretell, what chance reveals, A fleeting dance, yet somehow real. Still perched where fate and wonder trace.
Sincerely, Krystle Kelley
